improv

This song is exactly what the name says it is, improvisation, what I enjoy most in life. I used drum sound samples from the web and built a loop in cakewalk. Next, I went directly into the mixing board's amplifier with the Fender Jazz bass and had fun with it. The clean guitar part is played on the Fender, Yngwie Malmsteen, scalloped fretboard Stratocaster, with chorus, reverb, and stereo. The distorted guitar part was played on the 22 fret, neck-thru body, Jackson Kelly, using the bridge pickup. As I always do, I first went thru a compressor and a bbe sonic maximizer, so the melody would cut thru, then I just turned the gain knob up to 10 on the Marshall head and out via the low output stereo jacks, lastly, directly onto two tracks in cakewalk, panned hard left and hard right. This song has depth and feeling to it that I really enjoy playing.
