equipment

The equipment I used for the recording of each song is described in that individual songs page at this site and can be viewed by following the "listen" link in the above navigation bar. As a student at the Illinois institute of art I have the privilege to use their state of the art sound studio which has a professional pro tools set up. The guitars I use are first; a 1984, 22fret, neck-thru body, Jackson Kelly. It was made in their custom shop in San Dimas California and was carved by Grover Jackson himself, serial #J0933, meaning it was the 933rd guitar the company made in the custom shop there. It's only got 22 frets which separates it from the factory Kelly's which have 24 frets. Second; a solid maple G & L sc3 body with a Fender, Yngwie Malmstien, scalloped fret board neck. The neck was put on for me by the professionals at Specimen guitars in Chicago where they also wired in a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail, stacked humbucker pickup. Thirdly; a Yamaha steel string acoustic. The rest of my gear is described in the individual song pages.
